A Family Event
Stephanie Guides the children in a timeless container to enter the present moment to access their creative potential with this engaging craft of hat making.
HATS: There are several styles of hats one can make that can be a representation of one’s unique style. A template for different hat styles will be provided along with a variety of materials to inspire creativity, however you are welcome to create your own template. Parents are invited to join in creating their own hats and to share in this experience with their children. We will have opportunities to share our creations and our process.
Take home your constructed hats to be used for costume play or hang them up in your room/play room as decoration.
TEA: A meditative tea practice will be held to start the event led by Jean. Jean has apprenticed with tea masters in Taiwan and now brings this experience to you in a way that can be incorporated into family conversation at home. This practice has been used to enhance your senses and calm the mind and is typically accompanied by a story or philosophy to be contemplated. Parents and children will be guided through a tea tasting experience along with questions to open up to the creative process.
Herbal and aged puer tea will be served
Time: 1-3:30pm
Exchange: $55/family
